“I was fortunate to meet Elise in 2018 when she was an instructor in my hometown. Then, like many of us in 2020, I found myself lost in the sea of online fitness classes. I heard Elise was offering virtual Pilates sessions and decided to try it. Im so glad that I did! Whether in person or virtual, Elise has all the qualities of an experiences Pilates instructor. Beyond her careful eye for technique, Elise teacher creativity ,kindness and humor. I continue to work with Elise on a weekly basis and its my favorite thing I do!”

“As a gifted communicator with incredible energy, Elise helped me achieve the impossible: strength and stability in my hyper-mobile body! And we did it over Zoom while I managed a chronic pain condition. With kindness and patience, Elise created a safe place for me to work with my body and bridge disconnections. Working with Elise, a true mind/body practitioner, was essential to my recovery from these conditions and has become foundational to my wellness for the foreseeable future. Thanks Elise!”

“My husband and I have been working with Elise for several years and have found that Pilates involves moving differently than most other forms of exercise. It improves strength, flexibility and balance, which helps us keep active as we age. Elise begins each session with us by asking “How are you today?” and she really wants to know! She tailors lessons to our abilities and needs, but that also includes challenging us. She explains what and why we do things. She is always positive and encouraging. She cares about us as individuals, and wants the best for us. Being a Pilates instructor is more than ‘just a job’ for Elise.”

“At age 36, I’d taken up boxing to get back in shape after having my kids and I loved it, but it was so hard on my joints. I thought I was in the best shape of my life and while I was strong, I had very little core strength and flexibility. I first heard about Pilates after injuring my shoulder. Pilates offered me a way to be in my body, and really feel movements. I found muscles I’d never used in my life and a place of meditation. This year is my 9th year of practicing pilates. As a person who could never be consistent with exercise, Pilates is different. It offers both balance mentally and physically. The strength I’ve built maintains my body and I’m always learning more about myself. I look forward to my practice and my time with Elise.”
